Experience | Perseverance | Commitment

By donating you are helping Sue and Johnny do the hard work of taking care of special needs kids.

Sue and Juan are all in. They have bet their lives, career, finances and future on fulfilling God's promise. They are far too busy helping kids to promote themselves.

The website you are visiting was put together by volunteers who were inspired by witnessing their dedication to helping others.

Sue Fasino is no stranger to hard work and helping others. She started helping disabled kids in Baja while she was also raising her own 4 kids and working as a registered physical therapist in San Diego back in the year 2000.

She has an incredible capacity and resolve to deliver results for kids desperately needing solutions and hope. His Wings Ranch was born out of a need to provide families with special needs with assistance to stay together and still get services. The alternative for special needs kids needing care in Baja has been moving them into orphanages where they no longer live with their families. Sue moved to the Ensenada area and lived with her husband Juan in a trailer for years while they provided physical therapy and medical assistance to special needs kids while driving across town to Manadearo to provide horse therapy at what was at that time a second location.

To better serve the kids in Maneadero Sue used her remaining home equity in the US to purchase a vacant piece of land in Manadearo to start the ranch just a few years ago. Juan uses his extensive experience in construction, project management and his local connections to pull project to completion. Sue and Juan never had the luxury of first setting up the ranch then bringing kids to it for therapy. They have been providing therapy and assisting dozens of kids and their families full time all while concurrently building the ranch successfully and living in makeshift housing.

Vision

Sue and Juan’s vision for the ranch has grown to meet the needs of the community they serve. To truly enable special needs kids has meant helping their families and building a community along with educational support. It also meant coordinating medical interventions and finding wheelchairs for mobility. Through tireless work and faith His Wings Ranch provides all of these things needed for a special needs child to thrive:

  • Physical therapy
  • Horse Therapy
  • Special needs playground
  • Classrooms
  • A youth center
  • A medical bodega,
  • Daycare
  • And proximate homes for the kids and their families to stay in.
